Yeah, I've noticed that in the past couple years. Out of habit, I'd called the cc customer service, press the buttons, and basically told no need to inform what countries I was travelling to.
I think that was with Chase & Wells Fargo. Just recently got Capital One cards, so I'll call their number and see what they say with my upcoming trip.
