2035 NCAA Champion
We recruited Trey out of upstate New York to fill a particular role: a backup point guard with good vision and handle, a player who could give us solid minutes in relief of our starter and understand that he would probably always be the understudy, not the star.
Trey played that role very well, especially during his first two years. As a sophomore, he spent time as our sixth man while we went through a spate of injuries, and he handled that duty effectively.
The arrival of transfer
Eldon Castanon cost Trey some playing time, but he continued to play productive basketball when he got the chance. And, then, he received his grades for the first semester of his senior year, and that's where the story ends.
Fortunately for Trey, his family has the money to finance the last semester of his Villanova education, so if his spring semester grades are up to par, he'll return next fall to complete his degree in Sociology. We wish him well.
