Mid-year Review
TEW has listed their mid-year awards since we are in the month of July now. The winners so far…

Wrestler of the Year – The Rock, 91 average match rating, 100 rated match vs Steve Austin at Bad Blood

Company of the Year – World Wrestling Federation

Team of the Year – Two Man Power Trip (Austin and Triple H), 91 average rating with a high of 94 versus Eddie Guerrero and Raven on Raw from May

Match of the Year – Steve Austin def. The Rock at Bad Blood in June, 100 rated match

Card of the Year – WWF Judgment Day in May, 92 rated show

Young Wrestler of the Year – Perro Aguayo Jr with an 81 average rating and high of 86 teaming with Cibernetico and Heavy Metal versus Psicosis and Black Family IV in a ladder match

Veteran Wrestler of the Year – Hollywood Hogan, 90 average rating with a high of 99 teaming with Steve Austin versus Undertaker and The Rock on Smackdown from May

Female Wrestler of the Year – Manami Toyota, 67 average rating with a high of 80

Independent Wrestler of the Year – Brazo de Plata with a 68 average rating and high of 83 when teaming with Brazo de Oro and Cibernetico versus Atlantis, Blue Panther and Dr. Wagner Jr at Mala Obsession in May

--Really no surprises here with the WWF dominating in attendance, highest-graded workers, star quality, and highest-rated matches. Manami Toyota could be one to watch for down the road if/when I can get a women's division started, not an eye candy division.

--And just for reference, WCW's highest-rated match was the triple threat match at Big Bang for the world title between Booker, Scott, and Page (88) with our highest-rated show being Big Bang (86). My goal is to string some good shows together by late summer and early fall to get some momentum heading into Halloween Havoc through Starrcade.
