If we view the world in a 'there's no valid reason for people to have differnet opinions than I do' or whatever lens, it definitely can be. If we realize just how differently people think at a fundamental level and don't put our views and experiences as inherently superior to others, it's much easier to do so.

I'm pretty sure I know how they think and what they care about. They've been screaming about it for years. There isn't some big mystery here where we need to "put ourselves in their shoes".
