Somehow, some way, I've gotten myself into a full on My Chemical Romance obsession. Their newest release The Foundations of Decay is such a nice return to music longer than 3 minutes. The arrangement is so heavy, hooky and driving that it has me over and over again.
So I always felt like Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was one of the best top down, arranged, old school albums where the songs and song order was so important. When Black Parade came out I was a little underwhelmed, but lately, lately I've found it. It's got such variety and again, a nice top down arrangement to follow. Final Last Words and Sleep are incredible and Cancer might be the most gut-wrenchingly honest song I've heard in forever.
