I agree with this about 80% of the way. I now buy the going storyline that Shanahan was sold enough specifically on Mac Jones to deal up and remove all doubt... and only since then has this gotten so complicated. The Rodgers rumor is delicious to add to the mix, but I just feel like they went to Lance's second workout and ended up saying
heyyyyy legitimately. I also buy the theory that Shanahan doesn't want Fields, who would play
outside of the Shanahan structure too frequently, and that's not the goal there.
