Week 5 Training Results

We expected to see at least one of our youngsters show some real improvement this week, and we were right. However, that improvement showed up in a rather unexpected way.

Walter Bosch

Position: Winger
Jersey: #20

18 years old, solid (7) form, healthy.

A controversial person who is temperamental and dishonest.
Has disastrous (1) experience and disastrous (1) leadership abilities.

Specialty: Head

Stamina: Solid (7)
Playmaking: Solid (7)
Winger: Solid (7)
Scoring: Weak (4)
Goaltending: Disastrous (1)
Passing: Weak (4)
Defending: Inadequate (5)
Set Pieces: Poor (3)

Walter is the third of our four wingers to show marked improvement in his midfield abilities, while none of our true inner midfielders have shown the same improvement. Apparently our scouts are much better at identifying young winger talent than they are at identifying inner midfielders.

Form Changes

No fewer than 9 players saw their form improve this week:
-Midfielder Milan Dufek -> excellent (8)
-Wingback Arlen “Headcase” Lucas -> excellent (8)
-Defender Sven Svensson -> solid (7)
-Midfielder Javier Tejeda -> solid (7)
-Midfielder Agustin Alustiza -> passable (6)
-Wingback Mattias Leier -> passable (6)
-Winger Ad Taxwell -> inadequate (5)
-Midfielder Rune Kolberg -> weak (4)
-Wingback Ben McMahon -> poor (3)

9 players saw their form remain the same this week.

4 players saw their form drop a level this week:
-Winger Ivan Richardy -> passable (6)
-Goalkeeper Darryl Read -> inadequate (5)
-Wingback Tyler Willard -> inadequate (5)
-Forward Forrest “Gump” Tobias -> poor (3)

Overall we’ve had a pretty nice week, and a number of our players showed good form this week. Overall the team’s form curve appears to be back on the up-swing, after a one week dip. This means that it is probably time for us to finish off our conditioning training regimen.

The scary thing is Tyler Willard, whose play has taken an absolute nose-dive the past couple of weeks. We’ll be paying very close attention to Tyler this week, and pray that this is just a short-term set-back for him.

In The Zone

Arlen “Headcase” Lucas is a familiar name in this portion of the weekly write-up, as his spooky-good form continues with a rise to excellent (8) this week. However, this week he is joined by a newcomer, Czech midfielder Milan Dufek.

Form Dogs

We have a pair of form dogs this week, and they are familiar names. Ben McMahon and Forrest “Gump” Tobias are both our form dogs this week, in poor (3) form. However, now that we’re been knocked out of the U.S. Open Cup, these two can finally expect to see some regular playing time. Hopefully that will mean a rapid improvement for the both of them.
