2005 Divisional Round Preview

Miami at Houston (-1)

Clearly, the Dolphins have earned a bit of respect after their impressive first round performance. They head to Houston, where they will have to overcome a powerful offensive attack led by QB Warren Moon. The Oilers have been here before, and are expected to put a decisive end to the Dolphins playoff run.

New England at Pittsburgh (-3)

Steelers QB Terry Bradshaw is listed as probable with a sprained thumb. He's enjoying his first complete season, passing for over 4000 yards. The Patriots easily dispatched an unworthy Chiefs team last week, but will find the Steelers more formidable.

San Francisco (-4) at St. Louis

The Maroons are hobbled by injuries to Leeland McElroy, DE Brandon Mitchell, and LB Quentin Coryatt. It will be difficult for them to overcome the potent 49ers offense without two of their best defensive players and their all-star running back.

Washington at Dallas (-3)

The Cowboys swept the Redskins in the regular season in close games (both decided by less than a touchdown), and look to continue their dominance over their most bitter rival.

Dallas has a healthy roster, and the Redskins will have to overcome the loss of rookie phenom WR Gary Clark, who blew his ACL in last week's win over Minnesota.
