2005 Wild Card Preview

Miami at Buffalo (-2)

Honestly, Miami has no prayer in this game. Dan Marino went out with a torn ACL in Week 12, and they have garbage at QB. This is Buffalo's game to lose, with O.J. Simpson expected to get plenty of carries.

New England (-3) at Kansas City

The Patriots are without starting WR Paul Revere, but are otherwise healthy, and expect to pound on this year's token AFC West champion. The Chiefs are further hampered by the loss of RB Christian Okoye, who was injured in the last regular season game.

San Francisco (-6) at New Orleans

The Niiners will miss Jerry Rice (out with a hyperextended elbow), but not much. New Orleans has made an impressive return from their winless season last year, but their tough defense will be taxed by the potent offensive attack of the 49ers. New Orleans RB Andrew Cote will have to have a huge game for them to have any chance to advance.

Washington (-3) at Minnesota

The Redskins will have to stop the Vikings without DT Dave Butz, who leads the team in sacks. Vikings QB Sean Salisbury is listed as questionable, with a pulled groin.
