Eusebio Salavisa was designated as San Diego's FRANCHISE player nineteen seasons ago after his 5th season in SLOP. He's still going strong at nearly at 45 and he'll become the oldest player in SLOP history. Ed Saunders was 44 when he came back during the '63 season to play eight games for the Carolina Kings en route to his SLOP record 800th career home run, but Salavisa is an everyday player and barring some meltdown or Las Vegas's desire to let him go, he'll play past 45, making him the first guy to do that in this league too.

Pretty crazy stuff. Easily the best FRANCHISE player to ever lace 'em up and in this case, has been a bridge for this club from its origins in San Diego to its days now in Las Vegas.
