It's strange, because the Eagles weren't exactly plagued by injuries this year like they have been in the past. Fred Barnett missed three games, but aside from that, everyone was healthy.
Cunningham has great attributes on paper, but he only put up a passing rating of 80.7 this year. He threw for 4262 yards, 26TD's, and 19INTs.
Byars had 1220 yards rushing; good numbers, but a lot less than the 1700+ he put up the previous two years. His average dropped to 3.4 per carry.
They lost 4 games by less than 3 points. Some of the other losses were pretty ugly, though.
They were 30th in the league in rushing offense, and 7th in passing offense. They were 27th in rushing defense, and 27th in passing defense.
I think that tells the tale - their defense was bad, and it's going to hurt when you can't run the ball and you can't stop the run.
