The Curse of Haywood Jeffries
In what is sure to be remembered as a game for the ages, the St. Louis Maroons narrowly defeated the Houston Oilers, 21-20. The Maroons avenged their loss to the Oilers in last year's title game, and WR Haywood Jeffries exacted his revenge over a draft-day trade that sent him to St. Louis. Jeffries becomes the first player in league history to wear two Super Bowl rings.
