2003 Wild Card Round Preview

Cincinnati, Houston, Moe's Tavern, and St. Louis have byes this week, with the Reservoir Dogs and the Maroons enjoying home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Baltimore is at New England. The Patriots are a one point favorite. I think that spread should be larger, but New England is missing WR Paul Revere (shoulder), DE Sam Adams (adductor muscle), and MLB Drew Blizzi (MCL).

Cleveland is a six point favorite at Kansas City - the Chiefs are only there because the AFC West HAS to send somebody, and that division is totally weak. The Browns are missing G Ray Brown (strained calf).

New York is a one point favorite at Detroit. The Giants are without QB Phil Simms for 4 weeks with a strained foot ligament (looks like he was hurt in the last game of the season - rotten luck for the Giants). Detroit is missing MLB Chris Spielman (ankle surgery), and WR Mel Gray is listed as questionable.

San Francisco is a three point favorite at Washington. Bad weather works to the Redskins advantage, as they have the stronger running game. However, Washington is without DT Dave Butz and WR Art Monk. The Niners are without DE Dana Stubblefield.
