Cornell (4-5) at Colgate (6-2)

Two schools from central New York with much prestige, battle it out on the hardcourt. This should have been a pretty easy win for my squad, being at home and all, but instead it is a 10 point loss. Dombroski had a fine offensive night with 16 points, and he also had 9 boards, but the rest of the offense was quiet as we go down, 57-47. Hobbs was shut out at the center position, but he did have 8 rebounds.

Colgate (6-3) at Eastern Michigan (2-7)

E. Michigan is a pretty poor team, but we will still need a good performance to win on the road. Emmett did not let us down, and they had nobody to cover him, as he went off for 23 points. Tory Davis chipped in with 13 and 5 boards. Hobbs continues to struggle to score at center…he had only 4 points, but pulled in another 8 boards en route to a 63-55 victory. Merry Christmas guys!

December 30, 2009

Chicago State (6-7) at Colgate (7-3)

We take care of business on our home court, against an inferior opponent. Efren Quick gave us the offensive boost off the bench that we needed to pull away for a 63-54 win. Efren scored 20 for us. Hobbs finally picked up the offense a bit as he scored 9 and pulled down 8 boards for the third straight game. Carl Jones came off the bench to lead the team with 10 rebounds.

December Recap

PG Charles Waldrup, from Brighton, MA has committed to North Carolina.

SF Ed Silverman, from Forestville, MD has committed to Colgate! Ed is a 3 star prospect. He is really deadly from three point range and a good rebounded. He struggles to score when stepping in, and is suspect on defense. My new feature is to post his player card when a guy commits to us.
