There are a ton of people on this thread telling him to get an Android phone instead? Except for one comment about the Droid, it seems to me that most of the people who are telling him not to get one now are telling him to wait for the next version of the iPhone... where he could either buy the latest and greatest, or buy the old version cheaply.
