I'm tempted to try this, however, your restriction on 7 retired players puts me off. I would prefer to take players who have demonstrated their ability in more than one sport, rather than 'theoretically' have that ability. Most of those athletes are retired, and pretty much every player I would want to pick would be retired. Or dead.
