Point is, once you figure that a guy has demonstrated that he will not work in your system/for your coach/for your fans, he has very little value to you. Why not try and flip that into a 5% chance that you can turn around another team's problem with a change of scenery? Isn't that better than just letting him quietly leave as a FA in two years?
