Penguins make a pair of minor moves yesterday and today, but it makes tons of sense.

Martin Skoula signed for 1 year, $575K. He'll be the #7 guy. Shero has always made sure to have enough depth on the blue line to make it through the season.

Skoula had been in Florida and Columbus on tryouts during camps, cut last week by the Jackets.

With guys like Mark Eaton and Jay McKee who have some injury history, they have a solid cheap veteran in place now.

Also, they signed Ryan Bayda to a 1 year deal, 2 way, $500K. He'll probably stick around as the 13th forward for now, and gives them another guy to fit into the bottom 6, especially when Godard sits.
