Is Penner what we thought (or hoped) he'd be after two years...probably not. So, I guess in those terms, he's definitely a bust but has two years and a fresh start (new coaching staff) to turn that around.
I guess that "physical/tough" guy could also be called "power forward" and I think that's what we all want Penner to be and he has shown that he can be that guy on a few occasions. I think Jacques (the guy who's going to start the season next to Horcoff and Hemsky) is going to be facing the same expectations...so, these two guys are going to be the keys to success, I think, and their contributions both in the physical and offensive departments are going to be under a microscope for the first month or two of the season.
