When I was student president at IUS, I got to meet Brand. Never cared much for him as I thought he was always a bit condescending towards students. Of course, Hoosiers will always associate him with Bob Knight's firing.
Despite my opinion of him, it's sad to see anyone go. 67 seems too young to die in this day and age.
