The Oilers did the same thing when they won their first cup...the comparisons eerily very close. They lost to the Islanders in '83 but then beat them the following year. Gretzky and Crosby...Messier and Malkin (don't play the same game but are great talents)...Fuhr and Fleury...pretty cool.
