Mike Brown, an ex-Wolverine who I do like, absolutely plastered Hudler with a pretty blatant interference, but Hudler smacked his face on the ice and had a nice gash on his face. Brown got 5 minutes and a game misconduct, and Detroit tied it up but the Ducks PK was very good for the duration and held Detroit to 4 shots.
Needless to say a tone was set early.
