If Avery did that, or was the one sitting watching the Caps practice, he'd be out of the league again.
I guess my issue with it is because it's just a nice tradition that started because the team was showing appreciation for the fans after the lockout. To turn that into "look at me, I'm being a prick who you're afraid of (his words)" was wrong, IMO.
