20.01: Training, Youth Pull, Conditions, Week In Review

Training
I really didn't want to train stamina two weeks in a row. I doubt I could afford all the form hits. Instead, I went with set pieces this week and had pretty good results. Twelve Hippos bumped a level in set pieces. The only form hangover we had was with Houben (still at weak), the new forward. A lot of our B Team suffered in form, but that's because they didn't get a game this week.

Future Training
Done with our offseason so it's onto lots and lots of playmaking. I do want to squeeze in a week of stamina if our form is high enough.

Form
Starters: (+2) (-2)
Entire Team: (+2) (-6)

Starters Form
Solid (or above): Bush (exc) Starks
Passable: Kimber Phelan Connors Benito Meek Christiano
Inadequate: Newsom Schrader
Weak (or below): Houben

Kimber popped back up to passable and that's huge news. Houben needs to improve or he may find his way right back out of town. Newsom and Schrader need to turn it around next week.

Value
Starters: (+5) (-5)
Entire Team: (+7) (-11)

Value Highlights
Above $100K: 8(+1)/10(+2)
Above $200K: 4(+0)/4(+0)
Above $300K: 2(+0)/2(+0)
Team Leader: Tim Kimber ($491K)
Outfield Leader: Mick Starks ($326K)
Milestones: None this week

Most of the movement here had to do with offseason acquisitions.

Youth Pull, Week 20.01
Good news all around! Our squad is up to excellent. Last week's pull, Saturnino Sales sold for $40K to the Intercourse Ball Kickers, a team in the Louisiana Cyclone's IV.5. Small world. And, finally, the new pick is good! I'm not sure yet whether I want to keep the excessively long named David Antonio Alonso Soto- he's a great young wingback. However, I don't really have a need for another one and I could use the cash I get from him. I'll put him up for $100K and see if I get a bite. Also, I'll try him out in a game and see how well he does.

Youth Pull Status
Youth Pulls: 29
Youth Pull Grocers: 21 (+0)
Youth Pulls Sold: 7 (+1)
Youth Pulls Still With Club: 1 (+1)
Total Sold for: 590000 (+40000)

Youth Pull
David Antonio Alonso Soto (14893294)
18 years, passable form, healthy
A pleasant guy who is calm and upright.
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities.
Speciality: Head
Nationality: USA
Assessed value: 66 000 US$
Wage: 820 US$/week

Stamina: wretched Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: inadequate
Winger: passable Defending: passable
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: passable

Conditions

Youth Squad: excellent (up from solid)
Investment in the Youth squad: 20 000 US$ / week (NC)

Sponsors: delirious (N/C)
Supporter Club: 1276 members (+18)
Supporters: high on life (N/C)

Team Spirit: calm (NC)
Confidence: strong (up two levels from decent)

Not a bad pull of supporters. That team spirit was a level higher but when we bought a player, it went down.

Week In Review

On the Field
Only one game this week and it was our first cup game of the new season. We crushed the computer controlled Montana Panthers by the score of 10-1. Edwin Phelan scored 5 times and Herschel Meek added a hat trick. This week, we will start our first season of Div IV play.

Off the Field
Too much to report here. There will be an offseason transaction report in a couple of posts. A lot of people coming and going and I'm not done yet. But there's too much to mention here.
