Lack of Hansbrough certainly has something to do with it but I think mainly its just having three freshmen playing their first game fairly heavily in the rotation, and Frasor hasn't played a game in a year. When UNC doesn't come out of the gate running on every possession they don't blow people out early/easily.
Penn is picked 2nd in the Ivy League too and they really aren't bad. UNC played them last year and the game went about the same IIRC.
