UNC opens the season at home vs Penn. It was close for about 15 minutes, UNC went on a solid run to end the first half and led by 15-18 most of the second half. They got very sloppy and complacent for awhile in the 2nd half and let Penn get it down to 10 with 5 minutes left, but got it together and finished the game off.
With Hansbrough and Ginyard out with injuries, Freshmen Ed Davis and Tyler Zeller saw lots of action. Zeller scored 18 but only managed 1 rebound, he did get to the line for 10 FT attempts though. Davis impressed me more with 10 points/14 rebounds.
It was great seeing Bobby Frasor back out on the floor.
Final was 86-71, the speed on offense really wasn't there today, but it was a fine performance for an opening game.
