There's a lot of coaches that now subscribe to 'arm height' when recruiting players. They're much less interested in their actual height. What they measure now is the height of a player from the floor to the tip of their fingers extended over their head. There's a lot of 6'8-6'9 players that have extremely long arms and can run and jump much better than a 7'0 player with a similar arm height.
