I also have been simming. I don't mind playing out the games, but I find it takes too long as well, at least for me and my available play time. I really wish that you could save in the middle of a game. When I only have maybe an hour or to play each night, taking over an hour to play the game is a bit rough for me.
It is kind of funny because after years of playing FOF and the like, I always wished for a graphical representation of gameday, but now that I have it I kind of prefer simming anyway.
