Despite beating super-mega-ultra-power Texas, and going 12-0 with the 4th toughest schedule in college football (head and shoulders above anyone else in the top 25 I might add), the voters apparently still don't feel we are the best team in the nation. In fact, they
still think Texas is the #1 team, with Ohio State and us following. At least we've got something left to gun for. Texas can enjoy the voters attention while we polish our national title trophy.
The Big East was ridiculous this year. Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and Boston College all finished in the top 20 with us, and Va Tech and Syracuse were both legitemate national title contenders until the Scarlet Knights bounced them. Miami is really losing it's grip on respectability, West Virginia and Pitt contine to have up and down years, and Princeton is pretty much locked in the basement at this point.
