That's what the fans want to see, stupid. Next year, midget goalies with no padding, goals twice as big and teams will alternate 5-on-3 powerplays throughout the game. Fans don't want to see a real sport. They just like it when that little red light goes on behind the goal. If that happens seventy bazillion times a game, we will have all the fans in the world in no time.
