I always feel bad for Kevin Stevens. The guy was a force in the league for a while. A great power-forward, he got over 100 pts. and 200 pims one year. Obviously playing with Lemieux inflated his stats, but he was a really good player.
Then he got hit from behind in some playoff game (I think), got knocked unconscious, fell to the ice, and smashed his face all up. He was never the same player again.
It was quite the downward spiral.
