The one scene you talk about is probably the most absurd scene I've ever seen in a movie but I loved the movie nonetheless.
The rating system thing you mentioned I thought of as well. What does it take to get an R-rating? It's obvious, after watching that movie, violence is okay so long as you don't show too much blood/guts. Language is okay as long as you don't use f****.
