Im particularly interested in this part of your review? What in the world are you talking about?
The entire message of the movie to me, was about not being able to see the forest for the trees. Certainly you can debate the historical accuracy of the film (apparently its fucking awful), but as a movie, i think the message is clear and the film itself is entertaining. It's about a culture/society being so caught up fighting one enemy/issue and being completely oblivious to much, much larger problems looming on the horizon.
And if you want to read nothing into the movie at all, i thought it worked fantastically well as an action movie.
