Now, you could argue that Wedge should abandon Borowski as the closer and use Cabrera as the primary relief ace with Betancourt as his primary setup guy, but the pieces are there for a decent or better 'pen.

I'll accept your analysis, as I'm sure you know the team better than me. But, IMO, if your closer (whoever it is now) sucks, your bullpen sucks. And it's always an "easier said than done" when it comes to throwing a new guy with potential into the closer role.
