That's just the opposite of what I thought of Zambrano. I think he's been really consistent- he's not quite a super-ace but the notch below, better than a 2 but not a super #1 (those guys who have that season in the mid 2's for ERA), and that's what you'll always get: 200 IP, 15 W, 200 K, 100 BB, and an ERA in the low 3's. His stats over the past 4 years have been very similar and for any pitcher in this day and age, that's saying something.

That said, there's always been the danger of him breaking down because he's been badly overworked those four years.
