Things going well for Pats. Added the starting 3-4 LB they needed; added the depth at TE (they now have 3 good ones again); added the backup RB they needed with Dillon leaving at half the price.
Now, just a WR and DB. And word is that the Pats are poised to make an offer to restricted free agent Dolphin Wes Welker. They would have to give up a 2nd rounder if Miami doesn't match. Of course, the new poison pill theory (e.g. fully guarantee salary if he plays more than 3 games in Miami) usually prevents a match nowadays.
