NFL Network (Adam Schefter) is reporting the 49er's sign CB Nate Clement to an 8-year 80 million dollar deal (22 million guaranteed)

He'll become the highest paid defensive player in NFL history.

Ummm...wow. While it is an improvement for my team, the sticker price is pretty shocking. However, he should upgrade the secondary somewhat and free up going offense with the 11th overall pick.
