I've heard other people say this, coming from similar perspectives (they love all types of music, can appreciate all kinds, etc.), but am totally confused how that could be possible. I could understand not appreciating the lyrics, especially more recently with the heavy emphasis on violence and women...but the beats, the rhythms, sometimes I'm just amazed at what I'm hearing (underneath the lyrics).
