Vallery get off to a rough start, misfiring on his first four passes, but then he shapes up by first connecting with Wittich for 19 yds and then with Blades for a 24-yd TD! 7-0, Indiana, at 11:47 in the first quarter. Our next drive go for 81 yds but we stop at a 4th and goal on the 2, and send in the kicker for a FG. 10-0, Indiana. In the beginning of the second quarter we score for the third drive in a row, on a Wittich 18-yd run. 17-0 at 13:27 in the 2nd.

We go up to 24-0 after Vallery complete two passes to Wittich, the first for 33 yds and then for 6 yds and the score. Minnesota's Maloney hit a 28-yd pass but is intercepted on the next play by Banks. At halftime we have 14 first downs, 54 rushing yds and 227 passing yds, while Minnesota has 5 first downs, 8 rushing yds and 81 passing yds. Starting the second half we get busy right away as Dorrough intercepts a Maloney pass and return it 57 yds for a touchdown and 31-0, Indiana.

Five minutes later it's 34-0 as Cash kicks a 23-yd FG. At 14:03 in the fourth quarter we move to 41-0 on a 21-yd TD pass by Vallery to Baker. Our next score is a Niklos 1-yd run for 48-0 with 6:59 left. 2nd string QB Gaines enter the game with three minutes left when Vallery suffers an injury.
