A look at the 1914 draft:


Brooklyn pick: P Joe Sherman - Joe played his productive years with Brooklyn and his career record is 198-212 with a 4.14 ERA. He was a 2 time All-Star.

Boston (N) pick: SS Rogers Hornsby - Rogers played his most productive years in Cleveland, and then Chicago, where he retired as a Cubs. His career batting average is .294. He hit 257 homeruns. He had 2,590 hits and 1,254 RBI. He was a 12 time All-Star from 1919-1930.
