I think the biggest problem is the interface which is just not patchable. Having the ability to only due certain things on certain days is too time-consuming for a game that hasn't really shown the depth. Also, the majority of the actions in the game are just too tedious.
If they made a Head Coach 2, the interface would have to be one of the first things fixed, or I won't even give it a look.
