If you want a college football feel, NCAA does it in spades as well as the football action. Madden does professional football well. If you're the Patriots playing the Cardinals there isn't too much difference (Any Given Sunday). But if you're USC playing Ball State you can really blow them out. IMHO, both games succeeded in what they were trying to do. Both of them cater to different tastes.
