I think the Solecismic ratings place a large emphasis on attractiveness.
Overall, the guys were a lot better than the girls, which isn't saying much. Ace, Chris and Taylor were the only ones I really liked. Everyone else sounded off. I thought Sway took a chance, which was nice, but that's not what you need to do to start off the competition, plus he sounded like shit. When he actually sung with his normal singing voice, he sounded damn good. Bucky, Will, David, Elliot, Patrick, and Kevin sounded horrible. Bobby made me laugh, and I have 80 cousins like him, so he should stick around another week. Even so, the girls shouldn't even be in the same competition as the guys. Hell, Ace may be more attractive than everyone one but Carrie Underwood, II.
