Ideal Ice Hockey Lineup?
I don't want to make this a poll. What was your ideal lineup? I always had one skinny guy, and either two medium guys/1 fat or one medium/2 fat. Skinny guy took the faceoff, the rest did everything else.
|
Were the differences just cosmetic? I can't remember. If they were, 5 fat guys every time.
|
I think I took 1 skinny, 2 medium and 1 fat.
|
Skinny were the fastest, but weakest.
Fat guys were harder to knock down and controlled better on checks, but were slow. Medium guys were... medium. :) I always did a skinny center, medium wings, and a fat defender. |
My preferred was always Jeremy Roenick, Doug Gilmore, Eric Lindros, Scott Stevens, and Chris Chelios.
Oh wait you aren't talking about NHL94. |
This isn't hard. 3 fats and one skinny. Lock it up.

No way, too slow. |
Don't be afraid to mix it up, slim.

Obviously this is dependent upon playing regular mode as opposed to super bouncy puck. Once that gets busted out, you need to increase the fatty's.
But the majority of time it looked like this... 1- Skinny 1- Medium 2- Fat Depending on your opponent's skills and their selections, as well as each team's goaltending, this could vary somewhat. Nothing wrong with moving to a 2-Skinny, 2-Fat set or 1-Skinny, 3-Fat. There is also the standard 1-Skinny, 2-Medium, 1-Fat option. |
I found the skinny guys to suck, other than for faceoffs. They'd get knocked down by slush.

I *think* this is how my line looked most of the time too. |

2 Fats
1 Medium 1 Skinny I would skate circles around the Defense, then drop it to one of the fats and let them crank up a monster slap shot. |

+2 Also would go with 4 fats sometimes. |
