Garage door hit............
So........my wife attempted to back out of the garage before the door was all the way up this morning. Dented the bottom panel of the door a bit, knocked one wheel off track. I got it back on track, bent the track (just on one side with pliers, nothing major) back into place. Manually opened and closed it a couple times, no problems. Used the garage door opener about 10x, no problems. Bottom panel is just dented a bit. Problem solved? Or should i call someone to come look at it?

I'd say it's solved until something happens. :p

As long as the motor doesn't appear to be doing any extra labor, it is probably just a cosmetic problem. Depending on the type of door, you may be able to switch out the panel.

I wish my wife would do something like this.

Nah, your wife is still behind the wheel. As for the second part, is your wife hot? |

dola, given the the username I think my question is answered. :p |
Sounds solved to me. Now get to TCY2! ;)

Problem solved, unless you notice a significant change in the amount of noise the opener generates (indicating extra load).
I did notice, the other day, however, that garage door openers should be inspected every couple of years or so, which means I'm about five years behind.... |
Good suggestion Swaggs. It's got a minor cosmetic defect now on the outside, and it's dented on the inside. I called the local experts, they said about $350 to replace the panel. I might have them do that this summer. And, yes, of course my wife is smokin' hot.
