The Last Legion.

A 300 wannabe or a Gladiator contender?

I am looking forward to this movie as it seems to be less CGi and more story than 300.

Anyone read the Novel the movie is based on?

I've seen the movie but I haven't read the novel. The movie does a decent job at combining the Arthurian legends with the history of the Roman empire.

I found the movie to be a little "out there" though... I wouldn't compare it to neither Gladiator nor 300.. this is more of a fantasy-movie than an attempt at a historical movie, though it uses the Roman empire as a backstory.

(We are talking about the movie with Ben Kingsley, right, and the book by Valero Massimo Manfredi?)

Is this movie Fact or Fiction? Here is info about the author of The Last Legion

Wasn't there a movie with a similar theme out just a few years ago?

Kinda. The Clive Owen Arthur pic. Forget what it was called.

Good movie and it reminded me of the King Arthur movie that was mentioned. Well worth the $6 to watch it.
