Time Travelish Indi Movie?

Okay guys and gals a few months ago i watched this indie movie about a couple of guyswho stumbled upon time travel while doing some experiment in one of the guys garages. I wanted to revisit this to spend some time really watching it. Can anyone remember help me with the name?

It was a one-word title, but can't recall it. I watched it twice and still didn't understand what was going on.

gottimd 03-10-2007 12:31 PM

Anyone of note in it? Or do you remember maybe another movie name where a person in this movie was in, but can't remember their name either?

Antmeister 03-10-2007 02:00 PM

Is it called Primer?

edited to note that the wiki entry contains SPOILERS

DaddyTorgo 03-10-2007 02:17 PM

that movie sounds really cool. I want to go out and find it!

timmynausea 03-10-2007 02:28 PM

Just seeing the title, I thought Primer right away. That has to be it. It is a pretty sweet movie made for a few thousand dollars, and there was another thread on here about it, which is where I heard about it.

cubboyroy1826 03-10-2007 03:06 PM

Yeah that is it. I watched this thing late one night and kinda said "HUH" after the movie ended. I fired it up the next day when i wasn't so tired and started thinking more about it. For some reason last night i saw something on TV that reminded me that i wanted to watch this one again. If you havent seen it i think it is a must see. Very low budget but definitely a mid screw.

Great, I love those kinds of movies. I've had "Primer" in my Netflix queue for a while now but I'll bump it near the top of the list now.

Raiders Army 03-10-2007 10:45 PM

Whew. I thought this thread was about the next Indiana Jones movie that had time travel in it.

Karlifornia 03-11-2007 04:11 AM

I rented this movie based on a thread I read here a while back. I didn't get to invest the thought into it that it really deserved at the time. I will definitely rent this again.

Critch 03-11-2007 08:27 AM

The imdb link mentions that Primer is on TMC on wednesday at 11.45am.

cthomer5000 03-11-2007 08:37 AM

yeah, definitely Primer. Good movie, and a pretty amaazing film considering the budget, which i think was 10K.

Maple Leafs 08-27-2008 12:55 PM

Finally got around to watching this one last night (a friend had lent it to me over a year ago).

Didn't understand anything that happened in the second half of the film. But this usually happens to me, so it was nice to find out later that everyone else feels the same way for a change.

gottimd 08-27-2008 12:59 PM

Maple leafs, here is something from a spoiler site....

Spoiler

MJ4H 08-27-2008 01:11 PM

Yeah I watched Primer one day when I was at home sick last school year. Only paid 50% attention so I had no idea what was going on. Looked like it was probably cool, but I was clueless.

gstelmack 08-27-2008 01:19 PM

I was going to vote "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure", but they stumble across time travel at the Circle K rather than their garage...

samifan24 08-27-2008 02:19 PM

I watched this movie a long time ago and remember being really, really confused at the time. Reading the synopsis above helps but this is a very smart movie, probably too smart and confusing for most people.

DaddyTorgo 08-27-2008 02:30 PM

i've only ever watched it while really tired, which makes it doubly hard

Bonegavel 08-28-2008 09:31 AM

moved to the top of my netflix queueueueueue.

#114 in my netflix queue, but since it can be watched instantly online in netflix, I'll likely get to it at some point in the next few weeks.

that's one of the best signs that it's actually a good movie. I remember hearing that about 12 Monkeys and that's become one of my favorite movies. I like having to go back and piece things together. I'm definitely going to check this movie out.

Have you seen Mullholland Dr?

I realize this question wasn't directed at me but since he quoted my response earlier, I thought I'd answer your question. I have seen "Mulholland Drive" and found it to be interesting, and confusing, but nowhere to the extent of "Primer." For me, the biggest difference between the two is that "Primer" used math and science that I didn't understand and made no apologizes for using technical terms throughout the script.

Maple Leafs 08-28-2008 07:47 PM

I liked Mullholland Dr better.

Primer is a nice little movie and I enjoyed it, even though it confused me.

Mullholland Dr is an excellent movie (sometimes) and I enjoyed it even though it drove to my house, rang my doorbell, and then kicked me in the balls.

+1, to the extent that I didn't make it to the end.

Marc Vaughan 08-28-2008 10:09 PM

Bonegavel 09-11-2008 02:53 PM
