Baseball Trivia
Here's a question that I'd long wondered about ( I'm sure I'd heard it or read it somewhere ) but only just found the answer to.
True or False? No MLB team has ever scored a run in every inning of a single game. Now I'm talking minimum of 9 innings played and the team has to score at least one run per inning. Answer posted later. |
False. The Colorado Rockies have done it at least once since 2001, but I don't remember the exact date.
|
That took forever
|
Dola, I could have sworn they've done it since 2001 - since I remember reading about it on a lunch break from work (and I've only worked at Best Buy since 8/01), but apparently they did it on May 5, 1999. I got the team right, at least.

Double dola,
The Rockies were the third team National League team in the 20th century (five teams have done it in the AL, all in the 20th century) to do it. Does anybody know who the first two were? |
Shouldn't have gone with the T or F . . .
OK - let's make it harder. Name the teams that have done done it and the dates/years. |
Hey, slow down.
I've got a list of 7 teams. [edit] 7 teams all up and 3 in the 20th century. |
I won't answer this one since I already know, other than to say that a total of 8 teams have done it in the 20th century, and that none of the 5 AL teams batted in the 9th (all were home teams who won their games).

Sorry, I'm bored and type entirely too fast for my own good. :p |
Dang. You found the same source I did then.

Could be, but I knew it had happened before I found the source. I only looked the source up to verify the date, and I was off by at least two years from my initial guess. But either way, yeah, I knew it had happened, and relatively recently. |
