ESPN.COM-What their web page looked like ten years ago

Man, they had some ugly front pages in the beginning. |
no endless stream of popups and ads, though, I'd guess.
Or ESPN motion garbage you dont want to see.
Agreed, but it still takes forever to load.
Or 95% of their articles on insider.
Yeah, that actually is a much cleaner and nicer look than what they've got now...
The 1996 look is what I remember best. Spent lots of time on that site my first year of college...
Does that ever bring back memories of my college years. I can't believe pages were that basic back then, but they were.
I liked it better back then. Just news. No crap.

Me too. I find it hard to believe that people actually use all that crap. Just give me linked stories and stats and make it all free. :) |
It's not hard to believe the website came from the minds of the people who think all Stu Scott all the time is a good thing.

Most definitely. ESPN.com is almost unbearable to go to. Whatever happened to "Keep It Simple, Stupid"? It should be about the contents presented in an easy-to-read fashion. |
The redesign sucks. I bet this thread is in the archive, doh!
