TCY/FOF Interactive: Year 6
2009 is about to begin.
Remember to give a holler if anything needs fixing or you have an idea to make this more enjoyable. My DSL is sucking badly, so I feel your load-time pain if you have any, but I like the colors and formatting, so I will live with it if you will- unless it gets too bad for me to even make a post. I also assume any trouble with finding things is minimized by all the nifty color scheme stuff and formatting. If not, say so. New? Check out TCY/FOF Interactive: Year 1 Here. Updated sign-up list. It is H.S. Class of 2009's time to shine.
Upstate J, if you are around and have a name for yourself, now is the time. Otherwise, I'll make one up- and it could get ugly. :p If there is any mistake, let me know. |
Finally the General gets in the game.
|
We don't have such a great group, on the surface, as several asked for positions and/or states that were not well represented overall. Not as bad as it would have been had I not had executive power to switch a couple of players' years.
Anyone care to guess on the schools we will get this time. All defensive players, so who knows, especially as no recruit has Prestige on their top 2 emphasis list, which is weird. We are now watching 12 colleges, as Florida is off for now, plus our Pro players, which I haven't figured out how exactly to follow. We are now watching 2 players in the NFL, 23 in college and 5 new HS recruits. We have, barring more early departures (hello, Tim Brice??), 4 seniors this year... I think. |
If Tim Brice comes back to school he will be a junior.
|
I put nothing past one with a mind and attitude like "The Eagle." :D

High School: "The General"
Mike has been scouted by Coach Hildebrant, who is good with defensive backs. Here are Ritschel's stats thus far:
|
High School: "you WILL puke"
Tobias has been scouted by Coach Hildebrant, who is terrific with defensive linemen. Here are Beecher's stats thus far:
|
High School: "Dyno-MITE"
James has been scouted by Coach Benson, who is pretty good with defensive linemen. Here are Jackson's stats thus far:
|
High School: "Grassy Knoll"
Stan has been scouted by Coach Gordon, who is good with linebackers. Here are Gunner's stats thus far:
|
Go USC!!
I hope that I get to play this season. |
High School: "BMOC"
Jay has been scouted by Coach Benson, who is pretty good with defensive linemen. Here are Upstate's stats thus far:

The usual disclaimer... as Anchorage is the school I have to view recruits by, I hire new coaches each year, if needed, to maximize their abilities in the positions that have been requested for the recruits to come in that year- if I know the position, and not just the state.
Unfortunately, since I do nothing for the Anchorage team, they suck very badly, and getting any half-way decent coaches to come to Anchorage is getting very difficult. |
I better not end up at Penn State.
Edit: Or any of the other schools in my signature. :p |
As usual, FOFC has some BAD-ASS players this season.
Unfortunately, we have some not ready for prime time players, as well. We also have some players who are stuck, as Colton Mayes would have been without a timely injury, behind even better studs. |

I would start the betting on Penn State, followed by Michigan, Pitt and BC. |
Dola (do I need to dola in my own dynasty??)
That goes for Stan, from NY, as well. |
If I don't spend half of this year on the turf, my Cougars will make a run at the Pac 10.
|
Rob Nielsen better be starting now.
Rob Nielsen in fact, demands he starts. |

Have fun at Temple, buddy. ;) |
FOFCer Schedules: 2009
An X denotes an off week An F denotes a game vs. another FOFC team |
Danny Wilson has been working with Rob Nielsen on the do's and don't of college ball.
DO: Demand playing time. DON'T: Do your own homework. DO: Celebrate incessivley after a sack. DON'T: Stop dancing. |
GM attends Penisville HS?!?!?
;) |

The Trojans will be taking the title home this season. WSU, who??? |

We're that team up north that's going to come down and break your Trojans. |
Sorry for the delay. DSL is screwed up. SBC is checking the line for a problem. Maybe they can fix it, or I will have to put the excel sheets and information on my flash drive and post it from school or someting.
|
I might have to kill myself if "I" have a brain fart and pick Clemson for some un-holy reason!!! And, of course, USC sucked last year, but I think I could get good PT there, so, I'm wondering where my first visits will come from.

NCAA: "Prepare to Die"
Inigo gained 0 more pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting RB Montoya gained 1 point for 2009 in his estimates. The Beaver offense has exactly the same number of Estimate points as last year, just distributed differently. Another 1000 yard season would be great for Montoya's final season. Inigo is getting 16% Weight and 27% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "Eeeeeeerrrttmannnn"
Daniel gained 0 more pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Startiing QB As they say, it can't get any better than 100/100. Unfortunately for the college award circuit, Nebraska is more a running team, especially with that O-line, but Ertmann-to-Whit could be fun to watch in Lincoln this year. FOF/TCY draft files are noted as whacked-out, but Daniel is looking good for the NFL right now. Daniel is getting 9% Weight and 34% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "McMauler"
Larry gained 1 more pound in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting ILB Larry came back strong from injury in 2008 and, while his current potential was stunted, he still may have a future in the pros with that 100 Future of his. Larry is getting 22% Weight and 17% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The Deacon"
Derrick gained 4 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting OLB Copeland made a solid 15 point gain to his Current. While not a stud by any means, he is still the 2nd best OLB that the Wolverines have, and the best is graduating at the end of the year. Derrick is getting 20% Weight and 19% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Swagger"
Charlie gained 1 pound in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting ILB Good news is Swaggs gained 15 points on his potential. Bad news is, at 63, Charlie is the 9th best player, for Current potential, on the team. Swagger will, silently, be playing for personal glory again this year. Charlie is getting 23% Weight and 18% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Whit-Lash"
Kel gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting WR Kel tries to build on last years great season in this, Ertmann's final year, especially since the back-up QB and, presumably, next season starter, has less than half the Current of Daniel. Whit has 40 points on the 2nd best WR. Kel is getting 17% Weight and 32% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The Warlord"
Rob gained 2 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: 2nd Team QB Warlord seems to move up one slot each year, now the #2 man under cener behind a graduating senior. However, he has a Jr and a So not too far behind, so if Nielsen wants the job next season, as he should, he better work harder than they do. The other QBs on the Michigan team are:
|
NCAA: "Blade"
Colton gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting RB Mayes actually dropped 2 Current Potential points, but still is the #1 RB on the team. Michigan's offense seems surprisingly less than, say Nebraska, but they are still #1 in the preseason polls. Colton is getting 14% Weight and 24% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The Eagle"
Tim gained 0 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting RB Tim will have even more brashness with a 17 point jump in Current Potential. With a solid O-Line and crappy QB and WRs, The Eagle should soar to new heights as the focus of the Vol attack. Tim is getting 15% Weight and 25% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
Tim Brice is the shit. Tim Brice is so good, people stare and say that is Tim Brice right there. Tim Brice has hoes all over him. Tim Brice be da bomb.
|
There's a conspiracy in Michigan to keep Rob Nielsen off the field.
Rob Nielsen has only this to say. Rob Nielsen will drink TWICE the amount of beer now, until he is starting. The college will go broke from stocking my booze cabinet. |
NCAA: "DeTox"
Danny gained 6 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: #3 DE Wilson is stuck, barring injury, behind two very good DEs. The good news is they are both gone next year, so Danny will have the chance to start his final 2 years if he works hard. The other DEs on the Michigan team are:
|
NCAA: "Cool Breeze"
Benton gained 2 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting CB Gale bloomed, gaining 28 points to Current. He should be a stud on an above average defense. Benton is getting 15% Weight and 23% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "J.C."
James gained 2 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: 2nd Team DT (3-4) We don't know what defense will be used as it could change from week to week. If he wants the job next year, Clark better bust his ass since there are alternatives on the squad. The other DTs on the Penn State team are:
|
NCAA: "Vanilla"
Cody gained 4 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting QB Myers gained 15 points to his Current. The O-Line is a bit better, but Cody still needs to get more help with the schedule handed to him- it's rated as the HARDEST in the nation in the preseason. Cody is getting 8% Weight and 30% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "Duckman"
Kevin gained 4 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting S Miami still sucks. Only 5 players on the team have Current of 50 or more. Heath, at 60, is the 5th, so it's gonna be tough to beat anybody, but Kevin should be a stud on one of the worst defenses ever put on the gridiron. Kevin is getting 16% Weight and 20% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "Commish"
Mack gained 4 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: 3rd Team OLB JeeberD had a poor offseason, gaining just 4 points to his Current. He is only the 5th option at OLB at the present time. Get to work, or sit. The other OLBs on the Texas team are:
|
NCAA: "The Hulk"
Rob gained 9 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: 2nd Team OT For whatever reason, Maier LOST points on his Current and now finds himself only #4 on the depth chart. With only a 9% on film, he may not reach the potential he has- ever. The other OTs on the Tennessee team are:
|
NCAA: "Ewok"
Jesse gained 5 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting RB Ewiak gained 21 points Current Potential in the offseason. We heard that Tim Brice is worried about not being the top RB from the FOFC contingent. Jesse is getting 17% Weight and 28% Film. Projected Starting Offense:
|
NCAA: "The Bug"
Kyle gained 4 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: 3rd Team WR Kappe gained 10 to Current but fell off the table in Future (coach change???). He will need to step it up to get on the field more next season. The other WRs on the USC team are:
|
NCAA: "The King"
David gained 12 pounds in the summer. PROJECTION: Starting ILB (3-4) Gonzalez will be playing as a true freshman. That can be good or bad, we'll see. However, the USC defense does not appear to bear out their hopes for a Pac-10 title run. David is getting 20% Weight and 16% Film. Projected Starting Defense:
|
NCAA: "Big B"
Brian is redshirting this season. He gained 5 pounds in the summer. Butts seems to be on a team with a QB coach that doesn't do much to increase their potential. However, his 38 Current is still tied with the R.S. Sr starter at this time. A good season of work can vault him into a starting position next season. The other QBs on the Georgia Tech team are:
|
NCAA: "Professor"
Tater is redshirting this season. He gained 6 pounds in the summer. Gator is lucky to be getting this year to work and learn as he has the highest Current on the team at WR (yes, 31 is the tops). I guess Tim Brice doesn't want to ever have the Vols throw the ball. The other WRs on the Tennessee team are:
